Teachings

Islamic teachings- The teachings in Islam are all based of Muhammad and the Qur'an. Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last holy prophet. The Qur'an is said to have the words of Allah revealed to Muhammad exactly. Muslims consider the Qur'an for everything they do in daily life, it over all aspects of life. The Qur'an is the messages of Muhammad written into a book. The Qur'an is usually in Arabic but it has been translated into many different languages. Muslims believe that Arabic is the only true language that the Qur'an is read in.
Islamic Worship- Worship is conducted at a mosque by a Imam. Imam's are Islamic cleric. On Fridays most Muslims go the Mosques to pray.
These are four things that are important in Islamic belief.

1. Sunnah
2. Shariah
3. Quran
4. Jihad

1. The Sunnah- The Sunnah is a book that recorded the life of Muhammad. It is a model for how Muslims should live their life.


2. The Shariah- The Shariah is the religious law and moral code of the Islamic. It is also called the Islamic law and was the bases of laws in Muslim countries until the early 1900's.

3. The Qur'an- The Qur'an is the holy book of the Muslims. They abide by this books teachings for everything they do in life. The Qur'an is made of the teachings of Muhammad.










4. The Jihad- Jihad means "to make an effort, or to struggle". In later times it became the meaning "holy war".
